Tyla was a curious mermaid with shimmering aqua scales and beautiful flowing hair from the underwater kingdom in Long Island. Tyla loved hearing stories from her grandmother. One day, her grandmother told her about a magical necklace hidden in Dean's blue hole. Her grandmother said "It has the power to heal the seas and bring harmony to all creatures. But it has gone missing!” her grandmother sighed, looking out into the deep blue. Determined to help, Tyla declared, “I’ll find your necklace, Grandmother! I won’t stop until it’s back with you!” With a flick of her tail, Tyla set off on her adventure. She swam past the colorful fish and waving seaweed, asking everyone she met if they had seen the magical necklace.
As Tyla swam through the coral reefs, she met Luna, a tiny pink seahorse with a pink bow. Tyla asked Luna, "Have you seen a magical necklace?” Tyla asked hopefully.
Luna twirled and opened her eyes wide and smiled. “ yes! I saw a shimmering necklace near the shipwreck last night. But beware, young one—the shipwreck is home to some grumpy crabs.”
Tyla's heart raced, but she knew she had to try. “Thank you, Luna do want to come with me?” she said, Luna full of excitement said " YES!" And off the both went further into the ocean.
While exploring a colorful coral garden, they met Rollie, a parrot fish. Rollie loved to talk and asked "Where are you two going? Tyla and Luna both said with joy "To a shipwreck to find a magical necklace!" Rollie, who was nosey asked," Could I come along?" Tyla and Lily replied "Yes!" They were thrilled to have Rollie join them. So off the three friends went.
The shipwreck was dark and mysterious. Tyla, Luna, and Rollie carefully entered, looking for clues. Inside the shipwreck, the water grew darker, and the shadows of the sunken ship loomed above. The friends took a deep breath and swam deeper inside. Luna spotted a glimmering light! But there, guarding it, was a grumpy crab, pinching their claws in warning.
“What do you want?” said the crab. “This is my treasure! Tyla swam forward bravely. “We’re looking for my grandmother’s necklace! It’s magical and helps all the ocean creatures!”
The crab paused, and said, “I’ve seen it. But I thought it was nothing, If it helps all of us, I’ll let you take it but only if you can help me solve this puzzle for me"
With a wave of her tail, Tyla twirled with joy! Tyla and her friends said yes we will help you!'
It was a riddle about ocean creatures. Tyla and her friends thought hard and finally solved it. The cave lit up with a magical glow. They knew the crab truly had the necklace.
After solving the puzzle, The Crab showed them a hidden chamber. There, on a pedestal, was the magical necklace. The crab gave her the necklace. It sparkled like a thousand pearls. Tyla carefully picked it up and the necklace sparkled brightly in her hands. Thank you!” she said, and the crab smiled and said, I'm Bookie can I be your friend? Tyla and her friends thought about how they thought the crab was mean but turned out to be nice and helpful so they said, "Yes you can!"
Tyla and her new friends raced back to her grandmother’s cave, the necklace glowing brighter with every flick of her tail. Her grandmother could see the glow from afar. She shouted, “You found it!” with tears of joy sparkling in her eyes. She placed the necklace around her neck, and a warm, magical glow surrounded all of them.
“Thank you, dear Tyla, and to your nice friends. You all have saved the magic of the ocean!” From that day on, Tyla knew that with courage, kindness, and good friends, she could face any challenge. As the sun set over the horizon, Tyla, her grandmother, and all their friends gathered to celebrate, knowing the ocean was a little brighter because of their adventure.
