Dalylah and Brian sailed the sea so blue,
Laughing and playing as the warm wind blew.
But clouds gathered dark, and waves grew high,
Their little boat tossed toward the stormy sky.
Brian held Dalylah close to his chest,
"Don't worry, my brave girl, we'll do our best!"
The boat cracked and split with a terrible sound,
As father and daughter feared they might drown.

Morning light sparkled on golden sand,
Dalylah woke up on an unknown land.
"Daddy, wake up!" she called with a shake,
Brian stirred slowly, now wide awake.
"Where are we, Daddy?" Dalylah asked with care,
Looking at jungle and beach so fair.
"An island, my dear, not on any map,"
Brian replied, giving her hand a tap.

They gathered what washed up from their boat,
A backpack, some food, and Brian's coat.
"We need to explore and find fresh water,"
Said Brian to his curious daughter.
Into the jungle they carefully went,
Watching for signs of what this place meant.
Birds sang in colors they'd never seen before,
As they ventured away from the shore.

"Look, Daddy, look!" Dalylah pointed ahead,
At stone steps peeking through vines of red.
"These are old steps made by human hands,"
Brian examined the ancient stands.
They followed the path up a gentle hill,
While butterflies danced with amazing skill.
"Someone once lived here," Brian said with awe,
As ancient columns came into their view.

A rustling sound came from behind a tree,
Dalylah gasped, "What could that be?"
Out stepped a creature with fur soft and blue,
With gentle eyes that seemed quite true.
"Hello, new friends," it spoke with a smile,
"I'm Zephyr, guardian of this isle."
Dalylah's eyes widened with pure delight,
As the creature bowed with manners polite.

Zephyr led them to a crystal spring,
Where they drank while hearing him sing.
"This island was home to wise ancient folk,
Who hid it with magic like a cloak."
Dalylah asked, "Why did they hide away?"
"To protect the magic that here does stay."
Brian listened closely to every word,
Thinking this tale was quite absurd.

As sunset painted the sky with gold,
The ruins began to glow, we're told.
Symbols lit up on each ancient wall,
Making Dalylah and Brian stand tall.
"The ruins wake up when darkness falls,"
Zephyr explained as they walked the halls.
"These symbols tell stories of long ago,
And might show you both the way to go."

Deep in the ruins, a chamber they found,
With colored tiles spread across the ground.
"It's like a puzzle!" Dalylah exclaimed,
Her eyes with excitement brightly flamed.
Brian studied the patterns with care,
While Zephyr watched from his rocky chair.
"Step on the colors that match the sky,"
Dalylah suggested, eager to try.

The floor rumbled as tiles lit up bright,
Revealing a chamber bathed in light.
Inside they found a crystal so clear,
It hummed with power when they drew near.
"The heart of the island," Zephyr said low,
"It keeps us hidden from those who might go."
Dalylah touched it with gentle grace,
And visions of history filled the space.

More creatures appeared as word spread around,
That visitors kind had finally been found.
Some had wings, others had scales so bright,
All living together in peaceful delight.
Dalylah played games with new friends each day,
While Brian learned island secrets, they say.
The creatures showed them fruits sweet to eat,
Making their island stay quite a treat.

"We need to go home," Brian said one night,
"Though this place fills us with such delight."
Zephyr nodded, "We understand, it's true,
But promise the secret stays with you two."
Dalylah hugged her blue furry friend,
"I promise to keep it until the end."
They built a signal fire on the beach so wide,
Hoping for rescue with the morning tide.

A ship appeared on the horizon blue,
Spotting their fire, its whistle blew.
Tears fell as goodbyes were softly said,
"We'll miss you all," Dalylah pled.
Zephyr gave them a crystal small,
"To remember us, both big and small."
As they sailed away from the magical shore,
The island shimmered, then was seen no more.
