The Fisherman and the Kaha Bird
by Ahmed Jawad & AI
Long ago, in a small village by the sea, there lived an old fisherman. He would wake up at the crack of dawn, row his small boat out into the sparkling blue waters, and cast his net. But no matter how hard he worked, he only ever caught one or two small fish, barely enough to sell. The fisherman and his wife were always hungry.
One sunny morning, as the fisherman was mending his net, a great bird landed in the tree above him. The bird had bright, dazzling silver feathers that shimmered in the sunlight. The fisherman knew this was the legendary Kaha bird, a magical creature that helped those in need. The Kaha said, 'I see you work hard, but you are hungry. I want to help. I will bring fish to your house, and you can sell them.'
The fisherman was overjoyed. True to her word, the honest Kaha brought a fresh fish to the fisherman's house every single day. The fisherman happily sold the fish at the market and returned home with plenty of food for his family. The Kaha's kindness had brought an end to their hunger, and they were grateful for her generosity.
One day, the fisherman overheard an announcement from the Shah's crier. 'If you find the great Kaha,' the crier proclaimed, 'you will receive fifty bags of gold!' The fisherman's eyes widened in surprise. He now faced a difficult choice: should he keep the Kaha's secret and continue to receive her help, or should he reveal her whereabouts and claim the reward? The decision weighed heavily on his mind.
