This is Maria. She lives in Torres de Berellén in Spain. She learns English at school and wants to visit England.
One day, Maria's parents say ,"Let's go to London Maria!"
Maria is very happy and excited.
Maria and her mummy and daddy are in London.
The buildings are very big and old.
It is different from her quiet village.
Maria's is excited and wants to explore: museums, parks, shops, everything.
Maria and her parents visit Buckingham Palace, the home of the King of England. It is a very big palace.
Maria wants to be a princess in this palace.
There is a guard in a tall black hat and red uniform .
He smiles and says, 'Welcome to London, little princess!' Maria's cheeks go red and she laughs.
Next, Maria and her parents visit the famous Tower of London.
They learn about the history of the tower and the kings and queens who lived there long ago.
Maria's listens to stories of princesses, and hidden treasures. She imagines she is a brave knight and protects the tower from dragons and villains.
On a sunny afternoon, Maria and her parents eat a yummy picnic in a famous park called Hyde Park.
They have a big blanket and eat sandwiches, fruit and sweets. Maria sees ducks swimming in the lake. It is so beautiful and relaxing.
Maria's adventure continues as she explores the fascinating museums in London.
She visits the Natural History Museum and saw dinosaur skeletons, sparkling gemstones, and lots of really old things. Then, she goes to the Science Museum and plays with interactive exhibits. She feels like a scientist.
Maria likes to play and learn.
The next day, Maria and her parents walk across Tower Bridge.
They look at the River Thames and the city. Maria imagines she is a captain of a ship, under the bridge.
The bridge is tall and strong.
Later, Maria and her parents go see a magical West End theatre play. The stage is filled with colourful costumes, actors, and fantastic music.
Maria laughs, claps, and feels like it is all real.
She loves the theatre in London.
Maria is hungry after the theatre.
She eats fish and chips, traditional English food.
The next day. Maria and her parents go on an exciting ride on the London Eye, a giant Ferris wheel.
It is so high. At the top, she can see all of London, the River Thames and so many buildings.
She feels she is on top of the world.
Now it is time to return home.
She packs her suitcase and says goodbye to London.
Tomorrow she has school!
On the plane, Maria looks out of the window and sees the city. She has lots of new memories.
Back in Torres de Berellén, Maria is happy to see her family and friends.
She shows lots of photos and stories to tell:
Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, the delicious food, and the London Eye.
Maria's adventure in London was wonderful.
