Elisa was walking home from school when she heard a tiny sound. Under a broken crate in the alley, she found a shivering calico kitten. The rain had soaked its beautiful orange, black, and white fur. Elisa knew she had to help the little kitten.

Elisa wrapped the kitten in her scarf and carried her home. "Mom, can we keep her?" she asked with hopeful eyes. Her mother smiled and nodded, seeing how much Elisa already loved the kitten. They named her Ninja because she was so quiet and sneaky.

Ninja quickly made herself at home in Elisa's room. She loved to chase toy mice and climb the bookshelf. At night, she curled up on Elisa's pillow, purring softly. Elisa had never had such a special friend before.

One morning, Elisa's parents shared exciting news. "Soon, baby Amina will come to live with us," they explained. Elisa wondered if Ninja would like having a baby around. She hoped they would become friends too.

When two-year-old Amina arrived with her light brown hair and curious eyes, everyone was excited. Ninja watched carefully from under the table. Elisa showed Amina her toys and books. The house felt different with a little sister around.

At first, Ninja hid whenever Amina came near. "It's okay, Ninja," Elisa would say softly. One day, Ninja slowly approached the little girl. Amina giggled as Ninja sniffed her tiny fingers.

Ninja started to follow Amina around the house. She would sit beside her during story time. Sometimes, she even let Amina pet her colorful fur. Elisa was happy to see her two favorite friends getting along.

Ninja knew many tricks that made Amina laugh. She could jump really high to catch feathers. She would chase her tail in funny circles. Sometimes, she'd hide and pop out to surprise them both.

On rainy days, the three friends played inside together. Elisa built blanket forts for them to hide in. Amina would clap her hands when Ninja pounced on toy mice. They never felt lonely with each other.

One day, Amina was crying because she couldn't find her favorite teddy bear. Elisa looked everywhere but couldn't find it. Then Ninja appeared, dragging the teddy from behind the couch. Amina's tears turned to smiles.

Every night, Elisa would read stories to Amina and Ninja. Amina would point at pictures in the books. Ninja would purr and knead the blankets with her paws. It was their special time together.

As seasons changed, their friendship grew stronger each day. Like Ninja's colorful fur, their days were filled with different adventures. Elisa, Amina, and Ninja were more than friends—they were family. And that was the most colorful magic of all.
