Kaylee was a lively little girl who loved to play all day. One evening, her mom said it was time for bed. Kaylee frowned and said, "But Mom, I don't want to go to bed!" She had so many reasons to stay up, like playing with her toys and reading her favorite books. Her mom smiled and said, "Let's see what adventures bedtime can bring."
Kaylee decided to come up with a plan to stay awake. She gathered all her stuffed animals and whispered, "We have to stay up and play!" Her teddy bear, Mr. Fluff, nodded in agreement. They built a fort with blankets and pillows. But soon, Kaylee's eyes started to feel heavy.
Kaylee tried to keep her eyes open, but a big yawn escaped her mouth. Her mom peeked in and said, "Even adventurers need their rest." Kaylee rubbed her eyes and thought about all the fun dreams she could have. Her stuffed animals looked cozy and ready for sleep. "Maybe just a little nap," Kaylee whispered.
Kaylee snuggled under her warm blankets with her stuffed animals by her side. She closed her eyes and drifted into dreamland. In her dreams, she had magical adventures with Mr. Fluff and her other toys. When morning came, Kaylee woke up with a big smile. She realized bedtime was not so bad after all.
